Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers are the backbone of our programmes.
While TimeGivers focuses on creating meaningful volunteering opportunities for children and young people through our programmes, none of this would be possible without the ongoing support of dedicated Adult Volunteers.
Adult Volunteers are different from our Family Volunteers, who take part in one-off holiday events. Adult Volunteers play an ongoing and essential role in supporting our work throughout the year.
As an Adult Volunteer, you may support us by:
  • Running TimeGivers Giving-Back Clubs in schools
  • Supporting TimeGivers Youth Hub events
  • Assisting with TimeGivers school workshops and accompanying trips out into the local community with our partner schools
  • Supporting TimeGivers-led community events
Your involvement helps create safe, inspiring and well-supported environments where children and young people can build confidence, learn new skills and develop a lifelong passion for giving back. By volunteering with us, you play a direct role in shaping the next generation of volunteers and community changemakers.

How to Sign Up
Signing up as an Adult Volunteer is simple.
We use Timecounts to manage our Adult Volunteers. To get started, click the link below to create an account. Once you’ve signed up, a member of the TimeGivers team will be in touch to arrange an interview and talk you through the next steps.

Who can volunteer?

  • You must be 18 or older to sign up as an Adult Volunteer

  • No previous experience is required - just a willingness to support children and young people and contribute to your community

  • We are always open to new ideas! If you have a specific skill you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you

Why
volunteer?

  • Make a real impact by supporting children and young people on their volunteering journey

  • Gain valuable experience and develop new skills

  • Be part of a supportive, passionate community

  • Supporting young people to volunteer at a young age encourages them to continue volunteering as adults. Be part of motivating a generation to instil the value of giving and model what volunteering looks like

Laura Ellener
Head Teacher, Chiswick School

"The ability to give their time and feel the satisfaction of doing good can’t be underestimated. The value they get raises their self-esteem, gives them confidence and we see a real positive change in those children. It is something we can’t teach and it goes beyond our curriculum."
