Laura Ellener

Laura Ellener is our Safeguarding Lead. She brings valuable experience in safeguarding and child protection as the Headteacher of Chiswick School, where we have delivered over 120 events. This was the first school that TimeGivers partnered with, and Ellener was so impressed that she asked to apply to be a trustee. Ellener brings an unparalleled understanding of the challenges children in London are facing, as well as a strategic understanding of building effective partnerships with schools.

Laura currently co-chairs the Hounslow Safeguarding in Education Group and represents Hounslow secondary schools on the Local Authority’s Developing an Inclusive System Board, which is dedicated to improving outcomes for young people with special educational needs.
In addition, Laura is a Director of the Hounslow Education Partnership, which supports schools across the borough, and a Trustee of TimeGivers - a wonderful charity that creates meaningful volunteering opportunities for young people, helping them make a positive difference in their communities.
