Welcome back Morgane!

When Morgane first handed in her notice a year ago, it was a bittersweet moment for the team. She was not only brilliant with the children, but also a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of TimeGivers’ mission and a genuine commitment to the communities we work with.

We were sad to see her go, while also wishing her well as she explored new opportunities in Amsterdam. So when we later received the news that she wanted to return, it was met with overwhelming excitement. Since coming back, it feels as though she never really left.

Morgane is now playing a key role in shaping the next phase of TimeGivers, including supporting the growth of our programme in East London. Alongside this, she is part of the wider team at the heart of our delivery - ensuring every volunteering session is well-coordinated, safe and impactful for the young people and partners we work with.

At TimeGivers, our team is central to everything we do. Every session, trip and workshop relies on their care, coordination and commitment. They are not only delivering activities, but helping to build the relationships and experiences that make our work meaningful and sustainable.

Returning with Purpose

Reflecting on her decision to return, Morgane shared:

“I already felt when I was leaving that I was saying goodbye to the best job I'd ever had, not only because Kate and the team were so genuine and wonderful, but also because every day I got to do meaningful work that truly mattered. It rarely felt like a job to me.”

“Nevertheless, I knew I had to take the other opportunity for my personal growth and to test myself. Almost a year in, I realised there was a piece of my life missing. It was like I'd lost touch with my joy and sense of purpose.”

“When I discovered TimeGivers had an open position to lead the schools programme, I leapt at the chance. I knew I was ready to come back with everything I'd learned and to give it my all. This was the place I was meant to be. I feel honoured and grateful to be welcomed back, and I'm determined to help bring TimeGivers' full potential to fruition.”

Looking Ahead

Morgane is particularly excited about the next phase of development, including the growth of the East London programme:

“I love being reintroduced to the schools and building those relationships again. I also really enjoy looking at a system holistically and finding ways to implement or fine-tune processes, which is an area where I've grown significantly in my experience.”

“But with all that said, I think I'm most excited about East London. It has a special place in my heart, being the area where I fell in love with London and where I live. I walk through these neighbourhoods and see so much opportunity to support the communities there.”

Looking Back

Morgane also reflected on her previous time at TimeGivers:

“From my first time meeting Kate, which felt like we'd always known each other, to my first volunteering event at Chiswick cooking club... I got to witness and contribute to so many firsts, and every milestone felt monumental. It was so magical, every single event and moment with the team.”

The Year Ahead

“I'm really looking forward to fine-tuning our programme and set-up. We have so many exciting things happening internally that are laying a strong foundation to enable TimeGivers to deliver more impact in a more sustainable way.”

“We're building something truly special, and I think you'll be seeing a lot of incredible things from TimeGivers in 2026!”

We are thrilled to have Morgane back as part of the team. Her experience, insight and passion continue to shape the direction of TimeGivers as we grow.
