Youth Hub Partner Spotlight: Louise Clark, LMP Action

Our partnership with LMP Action began in 2025 with TimeGivers’ first week-long summer volunteering camp. Since then, it has grown into year-round work across LMP Action’s youth hubs, creating opportunities for young people to volunteer and contribute to local causes.

Together, we have organised book drives for young people in the borough, sorting and packing food donations for people experiencing homelessness, community litter picks as well as hospital decorations and letters for young people in care.

This summer, we returned for our second HAF Summer Camp in Hammersmith & Fulham, continuing a partnership that is helping make youth volunteering a year-round opportunity.

We spoke to Louise Clark from LMP Action about the partnership and what she has seen young people gain from volunteering.

Year-Round Volunteering

LMP Action first connected with TimeGivers through the council, looking for ways to bring volunteering into its youth and holiday programmes.

“We were keen to get involved because their work gave our young people the opportunity to make a positive contribution to others and become more connected to their local community.”

Recognising Their Own Value

“Watching them realise that they can have a positive impact on someone else has been genuinely heartwarming.”

“It helps them see their own value and understand that even small actions can make a difference to another person's day.”

Building Community Connection Through Volunteering

“Community-based programmes help young people build a sense of belonging and understand the importance of looking out for one another.”

“They can experience things that they would not normally encounter in a classroom environment and develop a stronger connection to the world around them.”

Louise also highlighted the importance of keeping these opportunities accessible:

“Continued funding ensures that these opportunities remain available to those who may benefit from them most and allows organisations to keep creating meaningful ways for young people to get involved in their communities.”
